Seale & Co., the Barbados rum company founded in 1926 by Reginald Leon Seale and run today by his great-grandson Richard Seale, the fourth generation of the family and the master distiller and blender at Foursquare Rum Distillery in St. Philip, which the Seales reopened in 1996. Richard Seale is the most outspoken advocate in the business for honest rum, no sugar, no flavoring, no misleading age statements, and this bottle is the Foursquare standard applied to a family name: a blend of pot still and column still molasses rums, distilled and matured entirely on site for a minimum of 12 years in the Barbados heat, where the angel's share runs several times what it does in Scotland, then bottled at 46% ABV with no added flavors or sugar.
